SPA AT HOME DURING COVID-19

COVID-19 – By now you’ve probably watched every Netflix movie, scrolled through all the memes on Instagram and, oh, you’ve probably baked Dalgona coffee or vegan brownies. But what about an at-home spa? In this blog, we’ll give you some tips on how to create a little spa experience for yourself, even if you don’t have a bathtub.

1. WATER, GINGER AND LEMONS

When you go to the steam room, you get dehydrated pretty quickly. So you need a healthy drink.

Squeeze a couple of lemons in a large can, grate the ginger and add it all together with some water. If you like, you can add some strawberries, a cucumis sativus or some fresh mint leaves to the concoction.

2. VITAMIN C

Since you are already on the “healthy self-care journey”, you don’t want junk food, but something that is good for you. Doctors advise to keep taking vitamins. A good and proven remedy for strengthening the immune system is vitamin C. You can find it in oranges, kiwis and clementines.

3. PAEDICURE

Now that you’re likely to be walking less, it’s time to pamper your feet a little. Spread a little Moroccan mud on the floor of your shower, your feet will thank you! The pure Moroccan mud dissolves in the water, so the risk of clogging the shower drain is minimal.

4. PEELS

Remember the clementine and lemons we used? The peels are perfect for scrubbing your body with. Use the lemons for your armpits. The lemons have a pH of 3, which is very low, so only use them for your armpits. Your armpits don’t get out of balance easily, so this is the only place you can use them to scrub. Use the clementine peels for your legs.

5. A DETOX MASK

Finally, use a pH balanced detox mask. This way you will get a good detox without destroying the natural barrier.

Be on the lookout everyone. Take care of yourself and your health.
